ABOUT US:
The Luton Gospel Community Choir was established to give people in the Luton community the chance to sing in a real Gospel Choir. Initially, it was planned as a one-week project, during which people from all walks of life in the Luton community came together to learn Gospel songs to be performed at an end-of-week finale concert. It was a HUGE success, an amazing feat, and is now a annual Event in the Luton Community.
October (2007) marked our 5th anniversary, and to celebrate we recorded our first DVD with financial support from a panel of famous millionaires in the ITV 1 Show “Fortune: Million Pound giveaway”. The proceeds of the sale of the DVD will fund this mentoring Scheme mentoring scheme to support up and coming musicians and young people in the 3 Counties area.
Over the past 5 years we have performed on local Radio and TV, Luton Football Club, Arndale Centre, Weddings, For Margaret Moran MP regeneration Conference, For the Abolition of Slavery Ceremony at the Luton Town Hall, As well as our own Gospel Music Week performance which has consistently been a sell out event attracting 500 plus people.
The overall aims of the Luton Gospel Community Choir and Gospel Music Week is to:
Luton Gospel community Choir are non-profit voluntary group. The choir has no age, faith, gender or ability barriers. Everyone is welcome so why not come along and get involved.
